Monthly goals: meetings held and wins
Managers set monthly goals for Meetings held and Wins in Analytics › Salespeople, for the team and for each salesperson. The dashboard compares actual results with what’s expected by today, in proportion to business days, and shows whether the goal is On track, A little behind or At risk.
Step by step
Open the goals
In Analytics › Salespeople, on the monthly goals card, click Set goals (or Edit goals, if there are some already).
Choose the month
Select the month. You can prepare next month’s goals ahead of time.
Fill in the numbers
Enter the Meetings held and Wins goals for the Team (all salespeople) and for each salesperson. Leave it empty for no goal.
Save
Click Save goals. Salespeople see their goals right away in My numbers.
What counts toward the goal
- Meetings held: by the date the meeting was marked as held.
- Wins: by the date the lead entered a won stage of the funnel.
There are no revenue or number-of-sales goals: goals only cover these two metrics.
How the pace is calculated
The expected value to date is proportional to the month’s business days (Monday to Friday). On the bar, a mark shows the expected value.
| Status | When |
|---|---|
| On track | Actual equal to or above what’s expected by today. |
| A little behind | At least 80% of what’s expected. |
| At risk | Below 80% of what’s expected. |
| Goal reached / Goal missed | The result of a month that’s already over. |
Example (sample data)
At Example Co., salesperson Ana’s goal is 20 meetings held in a month with 22 business days. On the 11th business day, the expected value is 20 × 11 ÷ 22 = 10.
- With 10 or more held: On track.
- With 8 or 9 (at least 80% of 10): A little behind.
- With 7 or fewer: At risk.
Who sees and who edits
Only managers and owners set and edit goals. Managers see everyone’s goals on the Salespeople card and on each salesperson’s page. Salespeople see their own and the team’s goals in My numbers, on the Individual and Team tabs. If two people edit at the same time, the dashboard asks you to check before saving again.
Didn’t work? See…
- “No goals for …”: goals haven’t been set for that month yet; a manager uses Set goals.
- The goal doesn’t move after a meeting: check that the meeting was marked as Held in the lead panel (schedule meetings).
- A win didn’t count: the lead has to enter a Won-type stage (stage types).
