UTM and tracked links report
In Analytics › UTM and links, the UTM tab groups leads by UTM parameters (with an optional second grouping), and the Tracked links tab shows clicks, leads and results for each /w/… link.
UTM tab
Choose Group by and, if you like, Then by, from: Source (utm_source), Medium (utm_medium), Campaign (utm_campaign), Content (utm_content) and Term (utm_term). Leads without UTMs are grouped in the (no UTM) row, always at the bottom.
The columns: Leads, Paid leads, Meetings scheduled, Meetings held, Wins, Revenue and, with the site tag, Site visits, CTA clicks and Visit → lead. Spend and CPL only show up when grouping by Content, if the ads use utm_content={{ad.id}}: that’s how the dashboard matches the UTM with the ad’s spend.
Leads are counted by entry date, with the screen’s filters. Click the number of Leads at the first level to see the list.
Where UTMs come from
- From the tracked link: the UTMs in the click URL are stored with the code.
- From the website lead, sent by your form.
- From the website visits tag, when the visitor becomes a lead.
Conversations from click-to-WhatsApp ads don’t go through a URL and usually land in (no UTM). For those, use the Campaigns screen, which already knows the ad.
Tracked links tab
One row per link, with: Tracked link clicks, Leads, Click → lead, Meetings held, Wins and Revenue. Next to the name you see how many leads came through the code and how many through the probable method, plus a button to copy the link. With a salesperson, number, source or ad filter, the Click → lead rate is empty, because the click doesn’t have any of that data yet.
Example (sample data)
Example Co. uses one tracked link in its Instagram bio and another on its website. Over 30 days:
| Link | Clicks | Leads | Click → lead | Wins | Revenue |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| instagram-bio | 320 | 64 | 20% | 5 | $3,500 |
| site-button | 180 | 54 | 30% | 7 | $5,600 |
On the UTM tab, grouping by Campaign and then by Content, it can see which creative in each campaign brought in the leads who bought.
Didn’t work? See…
- Everything is in (no UTM): check the URL parameters in your ads.
- Spend is empty: it only shows up when grouping by Content with
utm_content={{ad.id}}, and with no salesperson, number or source filter. - “No tracked links”: create one in Settings › Tracked links.
Frequently asked questions
Does the UTM report have a CSV?
No. For now, only the Campaigns report exports to CSV.
Which UTM should I use in my ad?
The one suggested by the For ad button in Tracked links: it uses utm_content={{ad.id}}, which links the lead to the ad.
