Getting started
How to switch organizations in TraceClose
Click the organization name at the top of the sidebar and pick another one under Your organizations. The dashboard reloads in the organization you picked, in the same section you were in. The menu only shows up for people who belong to more than one organization.
Step by step
Open the switcher
At the top of the sidebar, click the block with the current organization’s initials and name.
Pick the organization
Under Your organizations, click the one you want to open. The current one has a check mark.
Wait for the reload
The block shows “Opening name…” and the dashboard reloads in the same section (inbox, kanban, analytics or settings).
When you belong to more than one organization
Each organization is a separate operation, with its own WhatsApp numbers, funnel, team, integrations and reports. You end up with more than one when:
- you accept an invite from another company with the same email (just type the password you already have), or
- your billing account has more than one organization, as on the Agency plan, with one client in each.
Right now there’s no button to create a new organization from the dashboard. If you need another operation on your account, contact us.
What changes and what doesn’t when you switch
| Changes with the organization | Applies to all of them |
|---|---|
| Your role (you can be a manager in one and a salesperson in another) | Email and password |
| Inbox, leads, funnel and reports | Two-step verification |
| The organization’s default time zone, currency and language | Your personal language, if you picked one |
| Team, integrations and settings | Your name |
Switching organizations opens a new session: data and notifications from the previous organization disappear from the screen. If you were in a specific conversation or salesperson, the dashboard goes back to that section’s list, because that item doesn’t exist in the other organization.
The next time you sign in, TraceClose opens the last organization you used.
The notices next to each name
Under each organization you see your role there and, when it applies, a billing notice: Payment overdue, Suspended (read-only) or Being deleted. When there are organizations from different billing accounts, the menu groups them by account. What each status means is in What happens when the trial ends and how to cancel.
Example: a media buyer with two clients
Lucas is a manager at Example Co. and a salesperson at Example Clinic (fictional data). He’s in Example Co.’s Inbox, switches to Example Clinic and stays in the inbox, now with the clinic’s conversations. There, he only sees My numbers and Service under analytics, because he’s a salesperson, and the vocabulary changes to “patient”. When he switches back to Example Co., the management menus come back.
One organization at a time: TraceClose doesn’t add up numbers from different organizations on a single screen. Each client has its own reports, in its own currency.
Didn’t work? See…
- The switcher menu doesn’t show up: you only belong to one organization. Accept the invite from the other company (invitation didn’t arrive?).
- “You’re no longer a member of this organization. The list was refreshed.”: your access there was deactivated while the menu was open. Talk to a manager in that organization.
- “We couldn’t load your organizations”: click Try again in the menu itself.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a different email for each company?
No. The same email and password work for every organization you’ve been invited to.
Is there a view with all clients together?
Not in the dashboard right now. Each organization has its own reports.
