Checkout sales
How to connect Kiwify to TraceClose
Create the Kiwify connection in Settings › Integrations and copy the webhook URL. In Kiwify, under Apps › Webhooks, create a webhook with that URL and the purchase events, and paste the webhook’s token into TraceClose. From then on, sales come in on their own.
Step by step
Create the connection in TraceClose
In Settings › Integrations, click New connection and, under Checkout sales, choose Kiwify. Keep the tab open: the screen shows the Webhook URL (with a copy button) and the Token field.
Create the webhook in Kiwify
In the Kiwify dashboard, open Apps › Webhooks and click Create webhook. Give it a name (e.g., “TraceClose”), paste the TraceClose Webhook URL and choose all products or a single product.
Check the events
Check Purchase approved, Purchase refunded, Chargeback and, if you sell subscriptions, Subscription renewed.
Copy the token
The webhook form shows a token. Copy it and paste it into the Token field in TraceClose. Save the webhook in Kiwify.
Pick the options and save
Choose whether to keep sending Purchase to Meta (on by default; if the checkout pixel already sends the purchase, see below) and whether an unpaid checkout becomes a lead (off by default). Click Save.
Test it
In Kiwify, use Test webhook. The event shows up on the connection in TraceClose as the last event received.
Which URL to use
The dashboard shows the URL ready to copy, in the format https://t.traceclose.com/webhooks/sales/kiwify/<connection-id>. It only works for that connection.
Abandoned carts, boleto and Pix generated (optional)
Turn on unpaid checkout becomes a lead in the connection and, in Kiwify, check Abandoned cart, Boleto generated and Pix generated. The lead comes in with its source, with no sale and no Purchase, so the salesperson can reach out on WhatsApp. If they pay later, the sale goes to the same lead.
What happens in TraceClose
- An approved sale becomes a sale in TraceClose, with the amount paid and the order’s currency, credited to the lead’s salesperson. The lead moves to the won stage.
- The lead is matched by the checkout link reference, then by phone, then by email. No match: the lead is created with the source the checkout stored and goes into the rotation.
- An existing lead keeps its source and salesperson: someone who came from a click-to-WhatsApp ad stays credited to that ad.
- Refunds and chargebacks cancel the sale. The same delivery resent by the platform never creates duplicates.
To match the sale to the right lead even when the buyer pays with a different email or phone, use Copy checkout link in the lead details: paste the product URL and TraceClose adds the lead reference to the platform’s tracking parameter. In Kiwify, the reference goes in the sck parameter. The UTMs that reach the checkout (utm_source, utm_campaign…) are also used as the source for a new lead.
If the Meta pixel is already installed on the platform’s checkout and sends Purchase, choose who sends the purchase: turn off Purchase sending in this connection with one click (or turn off Purchase in the checkout pixel). That way Meta gets the sale only once, and it still shows up in the dashboard and in ROAS.
Didn’t work? See…
- Nothing arrives: check the URL and that the webhook is on for the product sold. In Kiwify, the webhook’s three-dot menu shows the delivery logs and lets you resend.
- Authentication error on the connection: the token in TraceClose doesn’t match the webhook token in Kiwify. Copy it again and save it in Edit.
- The sale arrived but didn’t reach Meta: see the sale doesn’t show up in Meta.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have one webhook per product?
Yes. They can all point to the same TraceClose URL, as long as they use the token pasted into the connection.
Does a declined purchase become a lead?
No. Only approved purchases become sales; abandoned carts and generated boletos and Pix payments become leads if you turn the option on.
Is the amount gross or net?
It’s the amount the buyer paid, in the order’s currency. Platform fees aren’t deducted.
